This is an Entry Level Position that will train and work on 1st shift for 6-8 weeks and then transfer to 2nd shift.
We will train to ensure manufactured components, processes, and procedures meet internal and external specifications. After being trained, this position will assist in the daily operations of the Quality Assurance Department.
Once on 2nd shift, a 10% premium will be added to the hourly rate. This is a 4-day a week 10-hour per day schedule working Monday thru Thursday, 3:15pm-1:45am, with overtime opportunities on Friday and Saturday (as determined by management).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspect manufactured parts and welded assemblies for conformance to engineering drawings and specifications.
Use a variety of measuring instruments and test equipment to perform inspections (Such as Micrometers, calipers, Height stands, Comparator, and other equipment)
Review inspection results with a cross functional team that may consist of engineers, production, and managers.
Investigate and report causes of dimensional and process non-conformances.
Recommend corrective and preventive actions to improve product and / or process quality.
Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance programs.
Conduct audits of manufacturing and assembly processes
Inspect incoming materials and components.
Prepare detailed reports of findings.
Keep abreast of new technology and developments in the aerospace industry.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Inspecting work orders and other documentation to ensure that all procedures have been followed correctly.
Assist in the upkeep of the Calibration program.
