Pay: $800 Monthly

Overview



We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lab Director to oversee operations at two CLIA waived labs in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will be a physician, preferably a pathologist, or have substantial experience as a lab director. This role requires monthly site visits to each location, with each visit estimated to be less than an hour and conducted in person. The candidate must be local to Pittsburgh.

Responsibilities

• Monthly Site Visits: Conduct in-person site visits to both lab locations in Pittsburgh, ensuring compliance with CLIA regulations and maintaining high standards of laboratory practice.


• Oversight of Waived Testing: Supervise and ensure the proper execution of all waived testing procedures, maintaining accuracy and reliability of test results.


• Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure the labs meet all regulatory requirements and standards.


• Staff Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to lab staff on best practices, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.


• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of lab activities, including test results, quality control measures, and compliance reports.


• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure both labs adhere to all CLIA regulations and other relevant federal, state, and local guidelines.


• Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for lab-related inquiries and issues, providing timely and effective communication with staff and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Physician: Must be a licensed physician, preferably a pathologist.


• Experience: Proven experience as a lab director, with a strong understanding of laboratory operations and regulatory compliance.


• Local to Pittsburgh: Must reside in or near Pittsburgh, PA.


• Knowledge of Waived Testing: Familiarity with CLIA waived testing procedures and requirements.


• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and train staff.


• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of laboratory practice.
