POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for delivering successful technical solutions for the Oracle EBS platform, specifically in the HCM and Cloud domains. The individual is responsible for development and support activities in domain with minimal supervision and guidance. A successful candidate will have a solid record of delivering technical solutions under timeline and a proven track record of working efficiently with business, functional, and technical teams. This role's focus is on the development, maintenance, and support of new and existing Oracle EBS functionality. This position is remote (US) #LI-Remote

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Leads and participates in all phases of software development life cycle including planning, system design, scope definition, development, maintenance, and support of software solutions:


  • Works with team and independently to formulate system scope, objectives, requirements, and documentation
  • Write high quality, well-documented and scalable code choosing appropriate approved modern programming languages that suits developmental needs
  • Proactively communicate and coordinate activities with cross-functional teams, infrastructure, and other members of the Development team
  • Provides technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to new employees and junior developers to enable effective software application development
  • Leads, directs, and works with team members to develop, maintain and improve critical internal and external applications
  • Adapts quickly to changing requirements, progresses and evolves goals and strategies, and implements emerging technologies as required
  • Ensures all programming, design, production control, data validation and quality control standards are met
  • Perform analysis of business/functional requirements and determine appropriate technical solutions
  • Develop technical design documents to meet business/system requirements
  • Analyze, develop, and update technical design documents to meet business and system requirements
  • Participate and lead the team design and code review sessions
  • Perform analysis on system processes to identify and recommend improvements
  • Support system and user acceptance testing activities including issue resolution
  • Maintains, supports and enhances applications including being part of on call rotation for production support which may include 24x7 support when required
  • Perform evaluations and reviews that may include evaluation of new and existing software products
  • Collaborate with teams to review and advise on system architectures from all integrated systems
  • Collaborate with development and project teams to develop user interface and database requirements for applications
  • Other duties as assigned.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of:

  • Knowledge of enterprise frameworks, systems integrations, software development and testing methodologies is required
  • Technical expertise/knowledge of development tools and processes
  • Strong knowledge of developing interface and conversion routines
  • Generating process documentation
  • Knowledge and experience with

    • PL/SQL, XML, BI Publisher, Alerts and Workflow development customizations and extensions
    • APEX development
  • Opening, managing, and resolving Oracle service requests with Oracle support
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Oracle suggested standards and approach for delivering EBS solutions
  • Familiarity with Oracle suggested standards and approach for delivering EBS work products
  • Technical knowledge of some or all of the Oracle EBS applications suite of products

  • Support and maintain existing EBS extensions
  • Periodically perform impact analysis of Oracle product updates
  • Reverse engineer complex modules and enhancements to diagnose root cause of user identified data issues
  • Read, write, speak and understand English.

Education and/or Experience:


  • Bachelor/associate degree in computer science business with an emphasis in management information systems; math or related technical field that required extensive computer programming. However, upon evaluation, equivalent 5-7 years of related experience and/or education may be substituted for the degree
  • 5 years of technical experience with developing and deploying applications through the Oracle EBS platform

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Additional qualifications that may make a person even more effective in the role, but are not required for consideration)


  • Experience in Java Programming and OA Framework
  • Familiarity with SDLC
  • WSO2 experience
  • Automated testing / regression testing
  • Experience with Kintana/HP PPM deployment tools
  • Experience in a Scrum/Agile development environment
  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS Project Accounting and Grants
  • Knowledge of some or all of Oracle Cloud applications suite of products:

    • Core HR
    • Talent / Workforce Management - Recruiting
    • Analytics
  • Knowledge / use of

    • Linux shell scripts
    • SOAP XML, WSDL, XML schema, and XSL
    • RESTful services, JSON
    • SOA gateway deployments
    • SOAPUI, XMLSpy, POSTMAN for SOA testing and development
