About the role
Forterra is looking for Operations Coordinators to support the manufacturing functions of the company by providing project coordination and logistical support in Clarksburg, MD. Operations Coordinators are assigned to a specific vehicle program and are essential to the success of the team. Vehicle programs advance a concept through a prototyping phase and eventually to full-scale production. Operations Coordinators ensure operational support needs are proactively forecasted, coordinated, and supported. They work in close partnership with representatives from various teams including Manufacturing, Product Development, Supply Chain, Fleet, Warehouse, and Inventory.
What you"ll do
- Serve as the central point of contact for cross-functional coordination across Manufacturing, Product
- Development, Supply Chain, and other departments.
- Assist with planning vehicle builds, material tracking, inventory coordination, and work order management.
- Forecast and track operational support needs, ensuring timely execution of critical tasks.
- Participate in problem-solving efforts to improve operational efficiency and program execution.
- Support new process rollouts and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the operations workflow.
- Manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exercise strong organizational and project coordination skills with high attention to detail
- Utilize spreadsheets and digital tools for tracking and documentation.
- Ability to work on-site in Clarksburg, MD and engage in hands-on activities as needed.

- Collaborative and Communicative – You'll be at the center of cross-functional operations. That means being a clear communicator, an effective team partner, and someone who's comfortable engaging across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Product Development, and more.
- Adaptable and Always Improving – Whether rolling out a new process or jumping in to fix something on the fly, you should be comfortable with change and eager to make things better. Experience with ERP systems or project management tools is helpful, but mindset matters most
- Be willing and able to perform hands-on activities as part of operational support.
- A self-starter capable of completing tasks without supervision.
- Able to work well in a team environment and communicate efficiently.
- Be comfortable adapting quickly to changes in a fast-paced setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Effective communicator with experience collaborating across cross-functional teams.
- Experience monitoring project timelines, identifying blockers, and helping drive tasks to completion.
- Familiarity with or interest in learning project management and operations management concepts.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in evolving or ambiguous environments.
- Experience with ERP platforms.
- Bachelors or Commensurate Military

US Salary Range
$65,000 — $100,000
Location
Clarksburg, MD - On-Site 5 days / week
The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience, education, specialized training, critical expertise, training, and more. Equity in Forterra is included in most of our full-time, high-demand roles and is therefore considered part of Forterra's overall compensation package. In addition to base salary and equity, Forterra offers competitive benefits for full-time employees including:
