Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Program Manager to lead our Higher Education initiatives driving engagement and growth through strategic partnerships and program execution to join our Education Programs Team. This individual will be responsible for managing and executing our Case Competition Program, establishing and maintaining university-level partnerships, and serving as the primary staff liaison for the Switch Alumni Network (SAN). partnerships with university-level organizations and energy clubs, and act as the primary staff liaison for our Switch Alumni Network (SAN). This position includes occasional travel (up to 20%) and opportunities to present to executives and the Switch Energy Alliance Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities
Case Competition Program (50%):
Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of the Case Competition Program, ensuring its continued success in engaging university students globally.
Manage team application processes, volunteer recruitment (judges and mentors), and competition logistics, including virtual rounds and the live final round
Collaborate with mentors and judges to ensure high-quality support for participating teams.
Evaluate program outcomes and recommend improvements to enhance student impact and engagement.
University Partnerships (30%):
Develop and maintain relationships with professional organizations (e.g., Society of Petroleum Engineers, Engineers Without Borders) and university-level energy clubs.
Design and implement partnership strategies to increase program participation and reach.
Enhance visibility and foster new collaborations at university events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build visibility and partnerships.
Assess partnership impact and recommend adjustments for greater student engagement. Evaluate program outcomes and recommend improvements to enhance student impact and engagement.
Switch Alumni Network (SAN) (20%):
Serve as the primary liaison for the SAN, fostering connections between alumni judges, mentors, university students, and corporate champions.
Develop initiatives to connect SAN members with career opportunities and industry networks.
Supervise SAN interns and contractors, ensuring effective engagement strategies and activities.
Monitor and assess SAN engagement and program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to support evolving alumni and partner needs.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Represent the program through presentations and reports to stakeholder executives and the Switch Energy Alliance Board of Directors.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the success and sustainability of program goals.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education, energy management, or a related field; (advanced degree preferred).
Proven experience in program or project management, particularly in higher education or student engagement.
Strong relationship-building skills with professional organizations, universities, and industry partners.
Knowledge of and passion for the energy industry, including a basic understanding of various energy resources and systems.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Experience managing volunteers, interns, or contractors is a plus.
3 years of project or program management experience (5 years preferred).
Preferred Attributes

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within tight deadlines.
Familiarity with virtual program delivery and engagement tools.
Prior experience with online communities, learning management systems, or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) [Experience with specific tools, platforms, or methodologies]
Engagement with university energy clubs or student led organizations is a plus.

Salary: $100,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
