TYPICAL DUTIES:
Developing and reviewing cost estimates for new projects and ensuring consistency in the cost metrics being used.
Able to evaluate estimated vs actual and collect project close out including project metrics.
Perform job walks as necessary to support estimate development.
Fully understand the project scope of work; recognize deficiencies in scopes of work and communicate them back to the project team.
Provide estimating consultancy to projects and guide them to develop quality estimating deliverables from their contractors.
Perform cost risk analysis of project estimates using standard estimating tools.
Provide external estimate assurance review to project teams and clearly identify gaps between scope, execution plans, and leading schedule parameters.
Assists project team in resolution of estimating issues involving cost, schedule, and changes on projects.
Enhance historical cost databases by assisting with the implementation, collection, data storage, and publishing of project metrics.
Collaborate with site construction group for all phases of engineering projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in the refinery or petrochemical industry.
Ability to read engineering drawings/ documents and understands refinery work
Knowledge of different estimating tools and methods utilized by industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Products
Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively handle multiple project and/or changing priorities.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing with internal and external clients.
