Vector Surgical is an award-winning medical device company. Small, yet dynamic, we are growing quickly and looking for an outstanding individual for our Process Engineer role. This person is responsible for our ink (coating) manufacturing processes, container filling and other general manufacturing processes. This is a hands-on role establishing and improving our methods and manufacturing outcomes. This position is 100% on-site in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.
Responsibilities:
Process Engineering - Ink
Oversee manufacturing, mixing, and filling for numerous chemical/liquid products
Specify equipment and automation needs, working with vendors to design/produce
Process characterization: identifying variables that affect product performance
General Process Engineering
Design, evaluate and improve process flow, line layout and material flow
Continually improve process/product performance by reducing variation, determining impact of raw material changes, etc.
New equipment validations: IQ/OQ/PQ
Process Engineering in other areas involving kitting, general processes, etc.
Suggest and implement process changes to improve safety, quality, and delivery
Create/revise product specifications, work instructions, contract manufacture requirements, and train people on new processes
New Product Implementation
Work with R&D to design processes for new products; implement design transfer
Ensure all requirements are met for compliance with medical device regulations
Qualifications:
B.S. in Engineering and 7+ years experience manufacturing medical devices or similar
Expertise in coating or liquids manufacturing, mixing, dispensing and sealing
Knowledge of medical device regulations
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. You will be working with all levels of the organization

Preferred Skills:
ERP system experience
Experience developing training materials and training people, mentoring, coaching, etc.
Knowledge of plastic injection molding and manufacturing automation is a plus
