Job Description:

The Vendor Requirements Analyst II is responsible for the successful documentation of medium to high complexity vendor file requirements in accordance with Empyrean system standards. The Vendor Requirements Analyst works directly with various vendors to define file requirements. They also collaborate internally with the designated teams to understand how data requirements and benefit/plan design impact the overall file requirements. In addition, they work closely with the file development team to ensure they are receiving file requirements in a standard/concise manner and help to develop standard requirements templates by vendor. The Vendor Requirements II role requires a semi-technical orientation, strong Health and Welfare process knowledge, strong personal accountability, initiative, learning agility, and effective communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Updates and reviews material changes all file requirement components that are required of the initial due diligence performed during implementation.
  • Works with different insurance vendors to coordinate/lead file requirements meetings
  • Subject matter expert/lead for some vendor preferred partnerships
  • Continuously works to align system standards with requirements standards
  • Documents file requirements against Empyrean data model
  • Collaborates with other internal teams to understand client reporting needs versus data being received
  • Maintains and coordinates development ticket tracking with the development team and client operations
  • Provides regular status of requirements being worked in accordance with overall project timelines
  • Builds file requirements efficiency through the creation of vendor specific requirements templates
  • Coaches/trains/mentors new associates to the requirements role and actively participates in team discussions

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES


  • Knowledge/working history of reviewing/updating file requirements
  • Advanced level required in Microsoft Excel/formula writing (3+years)
  • Robust knowledge of Health and Welfare domain/processes
  • Understanding of data models/relational databases
  • Ability to manage time in accordance with deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong teamwork skills and attention to detail
  • SQL Experience (2+years)
  • Not required but strong plus:

    • JIRA
    • Confluence

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required

    • In lieu of Bachelor's degree, 4 or more years of experience in business analytics, management information systems, human resources management, benefits administration or a related field
  • Previous benefits administration and client consulting experience (4 to 7 years)
  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered
