How you will contribute:

As a Director of Project Management Office (PMO) you will be a senior-level executive responsible for overseeing the entire Non-IT PMO function within A&M Corporate, ensuring projects align with strategic goals by setting standards, managing project portfolios, monitoring progress, and providing leadership to project managers to deliver successful outcomes across all initiatives; you will report to the Senior Director of Operations and you are tasked with building out a new Non-IT PMO and optimizing project execution through resource allocation, risk mitigation, and process improvement.

Responsibilities:



  • Strategic Alignment:

    • Define and implement project management methodologies, standards, and best practices aligned with company objectives.

    • Prioritize projects based on strategic value and resource availability.

    • Collaborate with leadership to identify and align projects with business goals.




  • Portfolio Management:

    • Oversee the entire portfolio of Non-IT Corporate projects, tracking progress, identifying risks, and managing resource allocation across projects.

    • Analyze project performance metrics and provide insights to stakeholders.

    • Conduct regular portfolio reviews to assess project health and make necessary adjustments.




  • PMO Leadership:

    • Build and lead a high-performing PMO team, including coaching and mentoring project managers.

    • Establish clear roles and responsibilities within the PMO.

    • Develop and maintain project management tools, templates, and documentation.




  • Project Governance:

    • Monitor project execution against established plans and budgets.

    • Identify and address project issues and risks proactively.

    • Ensure compliance with project management policies and procedures.




  • Reporting and Communication:

    • Provide regular project status updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

    • Develop and deliver comprehensive project reports highlighting key performance indicators.

    • Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership.



Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in project management, ideally with a PMP certification

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Knowledge of project portfolio management tools and techniques

  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

The salary range is $165,000 - $180,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
