We are seeking a results-driven Project Manager Assistant to join our team in Detroit, Michigan.
In this position, you will be responsible for contract administration duties, including target and job initiation, purchase orders, change orders, general contract administration, material accrual, bid file assembly including plan retrieval and printing; accounting administration duties including bonds, insurance, lien waivers, weekly revenue summary, and filing. You will be working directly with the Branch Manager, Project Managers, Engineers and Superintendents to develop and provide the business leaders meaningful financial tools they need to make real time decisions regarding their projects.
Responsibilities
Search for potential projects
Review documents with project manager and track opportunities
Download documents (plans, specs, geotechnical report and addenda) from plan rooms
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Assist with pre-bid qualifications and bidders list
Complete initial project take-off
Monitor and track project' progress and notify the project manager of any changes
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have several years of experience in project management / accounting and relevant hands-on experience within the construction industry. A.S. or B.S. with concentrated focus including business, accounting, finance, legal studies and/or construction management preferred. Must be an independent thinker, well organized, self-motivated, reliable, detail oriented, and possess excellent interpersonal & customer relations skills. Excellent computer skills and written & verbal communication skills necessary.
Other requirements include:
Demonstrated track record of success within the construction industry
Demonstrated experience communicating and working effectively with Engineers, Superintendents and other key
Demonstrated experience in developing solutions to problems
Familiarity with accounting principles
Ability to meet hectic and changing schedules and deadlines a
Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically, Excel & Word)
Other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager
Additional Information
Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by law
