Analyst II, Market at American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) in Houston, Texas

What You Will Do:

• Conduct research to identify market trends leading to growth opportunities. This involves gathering data through surveys, interviews, and other research tools.
• Continuously assess and report on activities of competitors including, but not limited to, changes in business strategies, technical and product capabilities, marketing tactics, organization and management
• Prepare reports for short-, mid- and long-term commercial market and product strategies.
• Prepare presentations to communicate findings of analysis to stakeholders.
• Analyze and prepare visualizations of data using Power BI, Miro, Excel and similar tools to assist with understanding of market conditions and possible growth scenarios.
• Work closely with the marketing team to support optimizing their marketing campaigns by providing market, region and competitor insights.
• Act as project coordinator on go-to-market campaigns including documenting key activities and tasks, confirming responsibilities and providing status updates.
• Work closely with analysts in product management and other departments to collaboratively work in overlapping areas and leverage common analysis tools and methods.

What You Will Need:


Education and Experience

• 5 years relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited university.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including telephone communication.
• High attention to detail with a strong degree of accuracy in data entry and interpretation.
• Ability and willingness to work in a team environment.
• Familiarity with database requirements and computer tools for data utilization.
• Strong organizational, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Can-do attitude and a commitment to client service.
• Working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management System

Reporting Relationships:


Reports to a Manager, Director or Executive level position.
