Position Overview:Conscious Capitalism, Inc. is seeking a seasoned, strategic, and hands-on Director of Events to lead our event programming with excellence. This role is responsible for designing and executing impactful events that support our national membership growth, elevate our brand, and bring our community together through meaningful experiences. From leading our flagship annual conference to supporting our local chapters in building strong event strategies, this role is critical to the long-term health and growth of our movement.The Director of Events will oversee the full lifecycle of CCI-led events and support the development and success of chapter-led events. This includes in-person and virtual formats with a focus on recruitment, retention, and storytelling. All events should meet financial goals, uphold our brand and values, and contribute to building a vibrant community of purpose-driven leaders.Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Leadership and Collaboration Event Strategy and Vision: Work closely with the CEO to execute a comprehensive events strategy for Conscious Capitalism, Inc., encompassing corporate membership recruitment events, a regional annual conference, and other initiatives. Ensure these events align with organizational goals and deliver meaningful, transformative experiences for attendees.Chapter Event Enablement: Provide strategic frameworks, tools, and consulting to help chapter leaders plan and execute consistent, high-value events that reflect the Conscious Capitalism brand and are financially sustainable.Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with Membership, Marketing and external stakeholders to align event strategy with broader organizational goals.External Opportunities: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and speaking/event opportunities that amplify the visibility and influence of Conscious Capitalism.2. Event Production and InnovationLead CCI Flagship Events: Manage all elements of CCIs major events from venue sourcing and contracting to content design, vendor management, production, and post-event evaluation.Drive Membership Recruitment: Design events with clear calls-to-action and experiences that attract new members and deepen the engagement of existing ones.Innovate for Growth: Infuse creativity, technology, and audience insights into events to enhance the attendee experience and extend the reach and impact of our movement.Post-Event Analysis: Collect and analyze feedback, track performance, and use data to iterate and improve year-over-year.3. Financial Management (10%)Budgeting and Reporting: Build and manage event budgets with accuracy and transparency. Ensure events are financially sustainable and support organizational revenue goals.Vendor and Partner Negotiation: Identify and negotiate with venues, contractors, and vendors to maximize value while ensuring excellence in delivery.Operational Systems: Work with Operations to build efficient systems and workflows that allow for repeatable, scalable, and professional event execution.Qualifications:7+ years of experience producing large-scale in-person and virtual events, preferably within a nonprofit or mission-driven environment.Proven success in designing events that drive growth, community engagement, or membership recruitment.Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects from ideation to execution with minimal oversight.Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders with excellence and grace.Experience working with and supporting volunteer leaders, chapters, or decentralized teams.Strong technical proficiency with tools like event management platforms, CRMs (e.g., Salesforce), project management systems (e.g., Asana), and registration systems (e.g., RegFox).Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience managing both internal and external stakeholders.Alignment with the values and mission of Conscious Capitalism.*Note - this is a 1099 contractor position.*About Conscious Capitalism, Inc.: Conscious Capitalism, Inc. is dedicated to elevating humanity through business.
