As a Business Analyst on Uber Freight's Last Mile team, you will play a key role in shaping operational strategies, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), and driving data-driven decision-making. You will work cross-functionally to develop reporting structures, optimize processes, and provide insights that enhance performance, efficiency, and scalability. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about using data to solve complex logistics challenges.
What the Candidate Will Do
Design and implement KPI frameworks from scratch to measure and improve last-mile delivery performance.
Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization in last-mile logistics.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to support data-driven decision-making.
Work closely with operations, product, and engineering teams to identify data needs and drive insights that inform strategic initiatives.
Support the development of forecasting models to predict demand, capacity, and delivery performance.
Provide recommendations on process improvements, cost reductions, and service enhancements based on data analysis.
Act as a key stakeholder in building scalable analytics infrastructure as the Last Mile team expands.
Present findings and actionable insights to leadership and cross-functional teams in a clear and compelling manner.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, Data Science, Statistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in business analytics, operations analysis, or a similar role, preferably in logistics, e-commerce, or last-mile delivery.
Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a start-up mindset.
Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and communicate effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, self-starter attitude.
Familiarity with Python, R, or other programming languages for data analysis is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of logistics, transportation networks, or supply chain management is preferred.

Illinois: The target base salary for this position is between $81,200 to $106,800 + 8% bonus
