Job Summary: The Senior Plant Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the engineering and maintenance operations of our food manufacturing plant. This role involves ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of all plant equipment, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and leading a team of engineers and technicians.


Key Responsibilities:

• Plant Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the plant, ensuring all equipment and systems are functioning efficiently and safely.


• Maintenance Management: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.


• Project Management: Lead engineering projects from conception to completion, including equipment upgrades, process improvements, and facility expansions.


• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.


• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.


• Compliance: Ensure all plant operations comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including food safety and environmental regulations.


• Budget Management: Manage the engineering budget, including capital expenditures and operating expenses, to achieve financial targets.


• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to support overall plant performance and objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or related field).


• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in plant engineering, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.


• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).


• Proven experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Proficiency in using engineering software and tools.
