What You’ll Get to Do

The Continuous Improvement Engineer 1  is focused on business processes, new product development projects, supplier improvement efforts, &/or customer/product issues and reports to the Group Quality Manager.

This role is perfect for an individual who wants to develop professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. A vital member of the Quality Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

• Value Stream Mapping processes, time studies, participating in Kaizen events, establishing Standard Work, audits/Gemba Walks, develop: PFD, FMEA, Control Plan, and Job Element Sheets, conducting root cause analysis using 5-Why, Cause & Effect Diagram, A3 tools, New Product Introduction (NPI) validation, creating test validation plans, Gauge Studies, and perform statistical analysis


• Basic knowledge in the use of voice of the customer information. Uses problem solving tools (5-Why, Logic Tree, Cause & Effect diagram, A3, etc.) to determine root cause analysis and derive countermeasures


• Supporting the implementation of lean manufacturing to continually improve the processes

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in technical field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering) or equivalent experience


• 0 - 3 years related experience and/or training


• The successful candidate will have knowledge in Toyota Production Systems, mechanical &/or manufacturing processes, an understanding of drawings, specifications and standards, familiarity with machined parts and their manufacturing processes


• A background of continuous improvement


• Familiar with ISO-9000 &/or TS-16949 Quality System
