At our Respite Unit in Springfield, MA, you'll play a vital role in providing care and comfort in a safe and supportive environment.
What You'll Do:
As a Counselor in the Respite Unit, you will work directly with adults experiencing mental health challenges, providing one-on-one counseling, needs assessments, and group activities. You will also collaborate with family members and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans that help individuals achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct interviews, observations, and mental status exams to inform treatment plans
Provide individualized counseling services and facilitate group activities
Collaborate with families, service providers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
Participate in regular supervision and training to enhance your professional skills

What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree (required)
Two years of experience in a human services field or equivalent experience with a psychiatric population (required)
MAP Certification (preferred)
Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (preferred)
Strong interpersonal, observational, and documentation skills
