Location:  Greater Pittsburgh Region/Warrendale - HYBRID work arrangement


Summary:


Position is responsible for establishing and implementing policies and procedures across the company for A/P work.  Manages the investigation and resolution of payment discrepancies and errors. Provide leadership, development and coaching of direct reports.


What You'll Do:


Team Management



  • Provide leadership, development and coaching of direct reports.

  • Actively engage in and support the development of the team to ensure problems are identified and resolved, action plans are completed, and process improvements are developed and implemented.

  • Implement and maintain communication process within the team.

  • Manage activity to ensure team is following up with requests effectively and efficiently.

  • Create reports to view and understand the team’s performance and progress. Establish process of reviewing continuous productivity and quality standards, KPI’s.

  • Review and deliver performance goals and progress throughout the year, including updates within UKG.

  • Conduct ongoing and consistent reviews with direct reports, including Training & Development of team where necessary, to determine and coordinate training opportunities.

  • Participate in recruiting and hiring process.

  • Hire, train, and supervise accounts payable staff, assigning tasks and evaluating performance to ensure efficient invoice processing and vendor payment.


Manage Accounts Payable Department



  • Establish and implement policies and procedures across the company for A/P work.

  • Manage payment runs, ensuring timely payments to vendors according to established terms and deadlines. 

  • Address and resolve escalated invoice discrepancies and inquiries- both internal and external.

  • Ensure proper cut off at month end and balance subsidiary reports to ledger balances.

  • Prepare other adhoc data as needed.

  • Year-end responsibilities include full process of generating and filing 1099 tax documents.

  • QA new vendor set up to ensure the team is following correct processes.


D365 & Power BI Reporting



  • Developing Reporting in D365 – advanced finds, to provide work queue and team performance data.

  • Development of Power BI reporting to manage workflow and monitor financial performance.


What You'll Need:



  • Bachelor's degree not required but preferred.  Needs accounting ledger/trial balance exposure and at least 10 years of experience in Accounts Payable, with a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.

  • Proficient in internal controls testing and documentation. Excellent attention to detail and focus on quality.

  • Ability to effectively collect, analyze, and present information to senior management. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate verbally and in writing. 

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in both written form and received through verbal communications. 

  • Strong interpersonal, planning, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.

  • Goal driven, self-starter with the ability to work independently.

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office products and experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Great Plains preferred.
