Are you an experienced Senior Buyer looking to take your procurement and supply chain expertise to the next level? We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join an established aerospace manufacturing company located near Long Beach, CA. This role is key in optimizing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring seamless supply chain operations.
What You'll Do:
Source and procure materials, components, and sub-assemblies at optimal costs
Negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely deliveries
Develop and implement supplier strategies that align with cost, quality, and delivery requirements
Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage purchase orders and track inventory levels
Analyze procurement data to optimize supply chain performance
Drive cost reduction initiatives and supplier improvement programs
Ensure compliance with industry standards such as AS9100, ISO-9001, and FAR/DFAR regulations
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience3-5 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
Proven negotiation skills and knowledge of contracting methods
Strong analytical abilities with experience in data-driven decision-making
ERP/MRP system proficiency (SAP, Oracle, or similar
Understanding of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and supply chain best practices
Preferred Qualification:
CPSM, CPM, APICS, or ISM certificate
Knowledge of Six Sigma, RCCA, and Kaizen methodology
Experience with electronic data interchange procurement
