Job Description
The Operations Associate is responsible for managing assigned daily, weekly, or monthly tasks related to ACH Processing. The incumbent must adhere to the Bank’s policies, procedures, and Federal regulations for handling exception and dispute items. The working hours for this position are from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM.
Responsibilities
Electronic Payment Disputes: Process electronic payment disputes for bank customers within stated Service Level Agreements (SLA) and regulatory time frames.
ACH Transaction Review: Meet strict daily deadlines for the review and/or approval of suspended ACH Origination batches.
Over Limit Activity: Review over-limit activity for ACH Origination clients and prepare documentation for management approval in a timely manner.
Research Tasks: Investigate ACH items, missing payments, and other discrepancies as requested by internal staff.
Financial Institution Communication: Communicate with other financial institutions for both outgoing and receiving requests of various natures.
Internal Communication: Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with various internal departments, ensuring smooth operations and collaboration.
NACHA Rules: Show willingness to learn NACHA rules and regulations and demonstrate the ability and willingness to gain appropriate certifications as needed.
Cross-Training: Participate in cross-training of other duties within the department as assigned.
Deposit Corrections: Research and clear deposit corrections efficiently.
Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Access) to manage and analyze data effectively.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
Adaptability: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, handling pressure and meeting deadlines.
