Description: Under the direction of the VP, Government Solutions, the Director, State Accounts will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships, high satisfaction, growth and retention of multiple state-level customers in an assigned region. This pivotal role will help our state government customers identify, develop strategic plans and realize their goals using ImageTrend products and services to maximize value from the partnership. You’ll drive growth, adoption, utilization, and demonstrate strategic best practices to help your assigned state customers achieve their key objectives. In turn, this will allow us to strengthen relationships, solidify retention, and identify expansion opportunities within state governments and their constituent agencies to accelerate and grow the business.
The State Accounts team provides proactive and exceptionally high levels of customer service that prioritize client advocacy, solution value and optimization, with a tailored experience that goes above and beyond expectations to achieve the desired outcomes. Government accounts have unique needs, and our State Account Directors ensure the client, and their constituents have the right solutions to save lives and make a positive impact on the community.
What You'll Do:
Achieve all Management by Objectives (MBOs), or other assigned targets, which will include retention and revenue growth objectives
Proactively develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective state government customers to understand their mission and goals,shape product requirements and drive continued value of ImageTrend solutions
Manage the entire relationship with assigned state government accounts, including adoption, retention, and product subscription upsells, cross-sells and renewals
Collaborate with clients to establish strategic success plans, timelines, and milestones to achieve their objectives, and provide proactive insight regarding the availability and applicability of new products and features
Establish regular, periodic meetings with each assigned client to evaluate product utilization, data, customer initiatives, and maintain relationships with key points of contact in the customer organization
Proactively measure and monitor the achievement of customer KPI’s or success criteria, reporting to internal executives, sales, and account teams and externally to key customer contacts
Assist in or lead workshops to help demonstrate to customers the full value of their purchased solutions
Be active in the NASEMSO community to maintain and foster relationships with state government clients, understand their missions and shape requirements, and monitor industry trends and priorities to help us stay informed of needs and product opportunities
Collaborate closely with the Customer Success (CS) team to provide exceptional support to your assigned state government accounts, including directly handling customer concerns and issues yourself, or routing and escalating support tickets to the CS team with high priority and advocating for customer needs to mitigate and resolve concerns
Work cross-functionally with all internal teams and stakeholders to lead the complete sales process from product demo to contract close through successful implementation, including any RFP or bidding opportunities
Support the professional services team with scoping and selling add-on and new service opportunities
Act as the liaison for technical inquiries, issues, or escalations; includes working with support, product management, or other teams as needed to create solution roadmaps
Maintain current functional and technical knowledge of the entire product suite and future products or roadmap enhancements
Keep informed of client requests, industry trends, or general market needs and take initiative to implement or provide insights that will help us continue improving products and processes
Influence state government customers to be advocates for ImageTrend and drive referrals to the sales team for opportunities with large agencies and regions
Adhere to departmental standards, workflows, SLA’s and other metrics or processes as required
Travel to orientation, industry or company events, or other onsite meetings as required
Perform additional duties or tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Degree in business, marketing or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Proven experience working in or with government agencies at a state or federal, preferably in a public safety, EMS or related organization
Extensive expertise and proven success in a related function with direct customer advocacy and engagement experience in sales, post-sales or professional services functions, preferably in a SaaS-based enterprise organization
Exceptional verbal and written communication, influencing at an executive or c-suite level, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated substantial results with growing customer satisfaction, adoption, and retention in enterprise or key account segments
Experience developing product use cases with key customers
Proven to be a self-starter and work independently within a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment
Excellent time management and organizational skills, proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, and can easily adjust and adapt to changing priorities or market conditions
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to learn new technologies, datasets, products, and domains of our customer markets
Excellent technical aptitude, technical trouble-shooting skills, coupled with the ability to provide quick resolutions to problems
Prior experience conducting workshops for enterprise customers [JM1][JW2]
Proven ability to identify areas for improvement, offer solutions and share best practices with others to help elevate and accelerate organizational results
Strong knowledge or direct industry experience with emergency services, fire, healthcare or hospitals
Ability to maintain discretion when handling proprietary and confidential information.
Enthusiasm for learning and expanding knowledge or skills
Strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, collaboration and team orientation
Ability to travel based on customer and business needs and the location of customers, up to 50%

Position Salary Range: The annual base salary range for this full-time role is $115,000 - $155,000 USD + bonus + benefits + perks + community gains. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, education or training and other relevant qualifications.
