Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an administrative role in New Haven, Connecticut. This unique opportunity offers a non-hands-on position focusing on phone triage, medication monitoring, and effective communication with doctors and patients.
Responsibilities
- Triage incoming patient calls, prioritize based on urgency, and provide clear instructions or route calls to the appropriate provider.
- Monitor patients' medication regimens and follow up on any changes, side effects, or concerns.
- Take detailed and accurate messages for doctors, ensuring all relevant information is clearly conveyed.
- Identify urgent or emergency situations and escalate to appropriate medical staff or dispatch emergency services as needed.
- Assist with maintaining accurate patient records and updating patient information in our system.
Qualifications
- Current valid LPN license
- Previous experience in a clinical setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology, patient management systems, and the ability to recognize symptoms that may require immediate medical intervention.
- Experience in EPIC
Required Work Hours
The role requires full-time availability from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
