Job DescriptionPosition: Floater Teacher Reports to: DirectorQualifications:-At least 18 years of age-Has a High School Diploma/GED-6 months or more of childcare experience in a licensed childcare setting or closely related field-Have a current fingerprint clearance card-Have a negative TB test within the past 12 monthsRoles and Responsibilities:-Arrive and leave on time for scheduled shift as well as scheduled break times as this is essential to the children and other staff members-Interact and play with children and encourage their involvement in activities-Provide a clean, healthy, safe, and orderly environment-Provide a nurturing, loving, and supportive atmosphere -Serve as a positive role model to staff, children and parents in professional appearance, demeanor and use positive discipline manners (will follow World of Wonder dress code policy)-Adhere to and promote World of Wonder policies and procedures in childcare which promotes health, education and well being to the children-Provide an interesting, fun and developmentally appropriate program and curriculum-Use appropriate and positive behavior management techniques-Take the role and responsibility for the upkeep and security of the classroom materials-Establishes and maintain appropriate rules of the classroom behavior and procedures, while maintaining order-Keep and follow a classroom schedule-Follow age-appropriate lesson plans (including chapel) that meet Quality First expectations -Maintain a current and up to date roster according to ADHS requirements-Attend all staff meetings and center trainings-Establish and maintain good communication with all parents through ProCare Connect-Assist children with toileting, change diapers, wash childrens hands and face-Assist in preparing snacks, meals, and feeding children-Maintain current on CPR and First Aid requirements-Know and follow all applicable state regulations-Follow all mid-day and closing procedures-Participate in company functions-Meets or exceeds training hours required by state regulations-Demonstrates flexibility regarding schedules and classroom assignments-All other duties as assigned Skills Required:-Demonstrate a genuine liking and warmth for young children, in addition to understanding the needs of young children as well as the ability to relate to them-Demonstrate patience and tolerance and can maintain an even keel over long hours and through noise, confusion and frustration-Demonstrate working knowledge of the development stages of young children and the ability to plan a variety of classroom activities which reflects development knowledge-Posses strong positive communication skills with children, parents, and staff recblid 8xpajuyz6tz4dp3l9e7z8dk0ctcofl
