Treasury Analyst at Welltower Inc in New York, New York

Job Description:

SUMMARY

As a Treasury Analyst at Welltower, you will play a pivotal role in the optimization of treasury operations and be at the forefront of cash management and treasury services at a leading S&P500 company that is a high volume and intensity investment organization.

This position will facilitate daily treasury operations, provide accurate cash reporting, assist with bank structure management and assist with credit facility and commercial paper borrowings. This position will serve as a liaison between Treasury and other groups regarding project management (Accounting, FP&A, etc.) and as a backup resource to the Senior Manager, Treasury when necessary. This person will assist with domestic and international transfer entry and account opening and closing requests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Domestic and international wire processing
  
  
  
  • Review and verify all wire information, to ensure sufficient funds, correct information and approvals prior to processing
  
  
  • Process wires via DocuSphere and DocuSign requests
  
  
  • Respond to requests for confirmation of incoming funds
  
  
  
  


• Open and close bank accounts
  
  
  
  • Work with requestor to verify account type information to open new accounts
  
  
  • Partner with bank regarding required documents to open and close accounts and obtain appropriate approvals and notarization, if necessary
  
  
  • Notify required parties in timely manner
  
  
  • Update all required databases with relevant information
  
  
  
  


• Assist with credit facility and commercial paper borrowings
  
  
  
  • Work with Senior Manager, Treasury to recommend borrowing and payment activity for both the credit facility and commercial paper program.
  
  
  • Facilitate borrowing and payment requests related to the commercial paper program.
  
  
  • Serve as a backup to Senior Manager, Treasury on the credit facility borrowing and payment activity.
  
  
  
  


• Serve as administrator of online banking sites
  
  
  
  • Add and delete users as needed
  
  
  • Assist in resolving user issues, including password resets, access to additional accounts, entitlements and all other questions.
  
  
  • Assist with treasury workstation management
  
  
  
  


• Serve as a liaison between Treasury and other Welltower departments in regard to project management.


• Consults with other Welltower departments and operating partners on banking structure and needs.


• Stays abreast of industry best practices, internal treasury activities and financial market conditions.


• Assist the treasury department in carrying out various ad hoc requests for internal and external stakeholders.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field required. MBA preferred.


• A minimum of 3-5 years relevant treasury work experience is preferred


• CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) preferred.
