Course Name: MATH 542 Integrated Mathematics I


Adjunct Instructor Position:


Bank Street College, Graduate School of Education, is looking for an adjunct to teach for the following course:


Course: LEAD 542: Integrated Mathematics II


Credits: 3 credits


Semester: Summer 1, 2025 - (Summer 1 Term classes begin on Wednesday, May 13, 2025)


Day/time: Monday, Wednesdays, Thursdays, 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Location: Online


Course Description: Integrated Mathematics II MATH 542 3 credits

This course continues the integration of mathematics begun in MATH 541. Participants study Taxicab geometry and its relationship to Euclidean geometry. Participants explore probability, the relationship between probability and proportional reasoning, the art of equations, and the relationship between functions and their graphs. Prerequisite: MATH 541. Open to Math Leadership students only or with permission of instructor and director.


Qualifications:

  • Master's degree required; Doctorate preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a district leader/staff developer
  • Successful previous experience with college/graduate school teaching preferred
  • Experience with school reform practices and action research
