Science Teacher (Grades 7-12)

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various scientific disciplines, including Earth Science, Chemistry and/or Physics, and will be responsible for creating an engaging learning environment that fosters curiosity and critical thinking among students. The Science Teacher will develop and implement curriculum that meets educational standards while also catering to the diverse learning needs of students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans in accordance with curriculum guidelines.
• Teach various science subjects, including Earth Science, Chemistry and/or Physics.
• Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management techniques.
• Utilize innovative teaching methods to engage students and enhance their understanding of scientific concepts.
• Assess student performance through regular testing, assignments, and projects; provide constructive feedback to support academic growth.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Participate in academic advising to guide students in their educational paths.
• Collaborate with fellow educators in curriculum development to ensure alignment with educational standards.
• Conduct proofreading of instructional materials to ensure clarity and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant Science field; teaching certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of scientific principles and ability to teach subjects such as Earth Science, Chemistry and/or Physics
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
• Proven ability in classroom management to maintain a productive learning environment.
• Experience in curriculum development is highly desirable.
• Ability to calculate data and interpret scientific results accurately.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for lesson planning and student assessments.
• A passion for teaching and inspiring students in the field of science.
