Location: Remote (Must live in the Midwest IE, Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, Kansas, and the Dakotas.



Salary: $85,000 Base + $750 monthly Car allowance, Phone/internet allowance, benefits, and guaranteed Salary increase after first year



Travel: P Travel



Job Summary:

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for nurturing existing account relationships and expanding the sales and customer base within the designated region.



Position Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Successfully represent and sell the company's complete core, industrial, and automotive product portfolio, aiming to offer quality products at competitive prices and acceptable margins. The customer base spans diverse industries, including automotive, furnishing, hotels, restaurants, marine products, and various commercial and industrial applications of vinyl-coated fabrics.

  • Ensure successful new product launches by effectively communicating and explaining features and benefits to key decision-makers. Collaborate with R&D to develop custom products that meet customer demands.

  • Engage closely with key customers in the Architecture & Design, Hotel, and National Accounts segments to promote company benefits and integrate our products into their standards programs, ensuring long-term sales for the brand. Work with OEM and Industrial customers to understand their performance and processing requirements, acting as the liaison with our R&D team to identify suitable products.

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of each account's current and long-term purchase plans and objectives. Proactively manage current accounts and respond to changes, keeping management informed of any shifts in plans, objectives, and buying influences.

  • Collaborate with customers to enhance their production processes using our products and assist in value engineering competitive products, converting them to ours. Manage existing customers effectively while developing new client relationships with key decision-makers.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans with management to identify key conversions, new product developments, and focus on sales growth activities that meet sales budgets and increase market share. Coordinate with management to establish target pricing and new programs with current customers.

  • Maximize new opportunities by strategically managing and expanding our existing customer base to align with the companies' product portfolio. Build and maintain a targeted prospect list for future business, continuously investigating potential leads that may result in new business. Record and manage all leads in Salesforce.

  • Address customer concerns regarding product quality promptly and efficiently, jointly resolving issues related to customers or internal matters.

  • Provide regular sales updates and reports to the senior management team, participating in identifying potential new markets, corporate relationships, and joint ventures.


Experience, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Strong sales presentation skills, excellent oral and written communication, time management, territory management, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated with minimal supervision. Staying organized and diligent in follow-up activities, new product development, and customer visits is crucial.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, along with general business knowledge and business acumen. Familiarity with the manufacturing process is beneficial.

  • Basic accounting skills are necessary for preparing quote proposals.

  • Independent thinking and problem-solving abilities are vital.

  • Creativity and an innovative mindset are valuable for strategic problem-solving.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication are central to this role.

  • Ability to establish long-term relationships with customer executives, maintain a positive attitude, and adopt a win-win mentality. Develop strategic sales and marketing objectives, set quotas, and manage budgets, relying on experience and judgment to achieve goals.

  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to track daily sales activities.

  • Exceptional follow-through skills to ensure timely customer communications.


Education and Technical Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing preferred.

  • Three years of experience in a sales role.

  • Preference for candidates with experience in automotive or plastics sales.

  • Experience with CAD or similar software.
