We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineering Technician with mechanical aptitude to support the development of manufacturing processes that transform direct metal printed objects into finished products. This role will support medical, industrial, and aerospace manufacturing for the 3D Systems team in Littleton, Colorado, enabling faster development while meeting customer requirements. You will be an integral part of a cross-functional team working to achieve site, project, and program goals in an innovative environment focused on advancing emergent technology. What You Will Do
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop procedures, work instructions, and controls ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
Support manufacturing engineers in equipment setup and implementation of reliable, repeatable manufacturing methods.
Assist in developing new technologies and enhancing 3D Systems' capabilities through equipment testing and operational improvements.
Execute product and process validation activities, perform range studies, and summarize data for engineering reports.
Design and test auxiliary fixtures, tools, and processes; work with suppliers to scope and purchase hardware.
Develop clear documentation according to QMS requirements and execute change orders with subsequent training of personnel.
Provide technical problem-solving support to the production floor, resolving systemic issues and ensuring clear communication with production and project teams.
What You Will Bring
High school diploma or GED required
2 years of experience with manufacturing operations; preferably in medical, industrial or aerospace industries under FDA/ISO 13485 or AS9100 design controls
Proven track record of working in a methodical, structured, and well-documented manner expected in a highly regulated industry
Demonstrated history of technical accomplishments in a manufacturing or technical environment showing ability to solve technical problems
Ability to read and understand engineering specifications and manufacturing methods across multiple products and materials
Ability to generate best-practice documentation and work instructions
Strong interpersonal skills with clear and excellent communication style
This position serves the Manufacturing Engineering Group, which includes the need to work on export controlled products from aerospace and defense customers.
Preferred Experience
Experience with CNC machining a plus
Experience with CAD software a plus
