A Day in the Life

Seeking a dynamic Program Manager to drive Medical Science programs as part of the Cardiac Rhythm Management global CRMS team. This team manages complex projects and programs in the released product space.

The program manager will be based in the US and will report to Director of Medical Science and External Research Program Operations. He/she will execute on a comprehensive Medical Science strategy that enables commercial success by firmly establishing the clinical and economic value.

This is a dynamic opportunity where the ideal candidate will possess scientific and medical/technical product knowledge, executive presence, health economics knowledge, as well as commercial or marketing expertise. This individual will be expected to lead cross-functional and cross regional collaborations and remove barriers to ensure the Medical Science team can meaningfully contribute to global business success.

This is a hybrid position with expectation to travel ~25%.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

Main Responsibilities


  • Generate medical science opportunities and tools like surveys, consensus groups, pathway optimization, One Hospital Clinical Services, Guideline Adoption Programs, requiring careful management from the design phase to the publication of results.

  • Align with marketing, HE&R and (local) iOU leaders to reflect on key business priorities turning these into Medical Science initiatives, by carefully understanding the market dynamics and trends.

  • Drive execution of Regional medical science initiatives. being accountable for the initiative execution, leveraging local resources for support.

  • Partner with local Field Clinical & Medical Science and full-time Field Medical Science colleagues to identify cross geography synergies and consistency with the OU Clinical Research strategy.

  • Continue to streamline operating mechanisms across the different medical science roles in collaboration with FCMSO leaders, as well as the Medical science council.

  • Facilitate effective communication among the numerous stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and strategic impact.

Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within clinical, marketing or technical/commercial field environment


OR
  • Advanced degree with 3 years of project management experience within clinical, marketing or technical/commercial field environment

Nice to Have


  • MBA or Master in other field

  • Additional languages

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present information to cross functional audiences including management

  • Strong teamwork and relationship building skills; builds trusting relationships with team members and key leadership stakeholders, as well as Key Opinion Leaders.

  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation, fast-paced

  • Experience in commercial/marketing environment close to business strategy

  • Good level of product technical knowledge (having worked in CRM OU is a plus)

  • Ability to think outside of the box

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$148,000.00 - $222,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance , Health Savings Account , Healthcare Flexible Spending Account , Life insurance, Long-term disability leave , Dependent daycare spending account , Tuition assistance/reimbursement , and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
