We are seeking skilled apprentice, skilled, and field Automotive Vehicle Technicians to maintain, repair, and service commercial vehicles. This role includes both shop-based work and on-the-road service calls to construction sites. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, diagnostic skills, and experience working with pick-up trucks, SUVs, utility vehicles, etc. Key Responsibilities: Performing routine maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on commercial vehicles both in the shop and on-site at construction locations. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with yard and site supervisors while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Shop-Based Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, for gas-powered trucks, service vans, and construction equipment.
Conduct diagnostic tests to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
Perform engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and hydraulic system repairs.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and vehicle conditions.
Follow safety regulations and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
On-the-Road Responsibilities:
Primarily local travel within the valley, however, must be flexible to travel outside of the valley on occasion.
Travel to job sites to perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in the field.
Operate service trucks equipped with tools and replacement parts.
Communicate with dispatch and site supervisors to prioritize urgent repairs.
Ensure work areas are clean and organized after roadside or job-site repairs.
Qualifications:
Must have a good driving record
Minimum of 1-5 years of experience as an automotive/vehicle technician.
Experience with hydraulic systems, electrical diagnostics, and welding is a plus.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift heavy parts and work in various weather conditions.
