Salary: $29.00 USD Hourly - $30.00 USD Hourly

Description: We are currently seeking a Travel wound care - RN for our client in New York!



Pay Details



Hourly Pay: $30.00/hour ($1,200.00/week)


Housing Stipend: $1,967.00/month


Meals & Incidentals: $644.00/month


Overtime Rate: $45.00/hour (After 40 hours: $40.00/hour)



Total Gross Pay: $3,811.00/week




Role Responsibilities

• Conduct health assessments focused on wound, ostomy, and continence care.
  
  


• Perform physical assessments, develop individualized care plans, and recommend appropriate treatments.
  
  


• Document and evaluate patient responses to treatments for complex wounds, ostomy, and continence care.
  
  


• Collaborate with healthcare teams, making referrals to other disciplines.
  
  


• Teach, counsel, and assist patients and families to prevent complications related to care.
  
  


• Develop and provide education programs for staff, including orientation and continuing education.
  
  


• Participate in quality improvement activities at unit and hospital-wide levels.
  
  


• Maintain data confidentiality according to patient rights policies.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience




Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience.
  
  


• Wound and Colostomy expertise.
  
  

Education & Certifications:

• Valid New York State RN License with primary source verification.
  
  


• AHA BLS certification.
  
  


• Certification in at least one of the following:
  
  
  
  
  • CWOCN (Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse)
    
    
  
  
  • CWON (Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse)
    
    
  
  
  • CWCN (Certified Wound Care Nurse)
    
    
  
  
  • CWS (Certified Wound Specialist)
    
    
  
  
  • WCC (Wound Care Certified)

  Schedule Notes: 70% in-office; travel required for patient home visits across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Queens. Average of 15-20 consults/day.
