The Department of Neurological Sciences at the Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine (LCOM) at the University of Vermont (UVM) and the University of Vermont Health Network (UVMHN) seek to recruit a fellowship-trained, board-certified neurologist with board-certified/board-eligible qualifications in clinical neurophysiology to join the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center at the University of Vermont Medical Center (UVMMC).
This is a full-time 1.0 FTE clinical position as attending physician and Division Chief, Division of Epilepsy in the Department of Neurology at UVMMC and a corresponding faculty appointment in UVM's Department of Neurological Sciences. A successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in epilepsy, including epilepsy surgery evaluation, with an additional interest in clinical/translational research and/or resident, fellow, and medical student education.
Appointment as Division Chief of Epilepsy may be considered for qualified candidates.
The Comprehensive Epilepsy Center at UVMMC serves a population base of approximately 1.2 million providing patients from Vermont and Upstate New York with access to an active Epileptic Monitoring Unit (EMU) and intraoperative electrophysiology monitoring program.
The UVMMC is located in Burlington and serves as Vermont's only academic medical center. Burlington is a small but vibrant community on the shores of Lake Champlain between the Adirondack and Green Mountains.
