Key Responsibilities:
• Content Creation: Write clear, compelling copy for web, email, press releases, blogs, social media, and marketing materials, ensuring alignment with the brand's voice and values.
• Internal Communications: Lead internal communications, including curating the monthly employee newsletter, "The Huddle," and ensuring company-wide messaging is clear, engaging, and aligned with our mission, vision, and core values.
• Media Relations: Manage media outreach, including industry award nominations, press releases, media lists, and pitching stories to enhance our brand presence and industry standing.
• Brand Messaging: Collaborate with internal teams to refine brand messaging and tone of voice, ensuring all communications align with the organization's goals and values.
• Corporate Events: Assist in the planning and execution of corporate events (e.g., town halls, sales summits), contributing to messaging themes and content.
• Employee Engagement: Support the Values Champion program, fostering a culture of organizational values by recognizing employees who embody and champion the company's core values.
• Social Media Strategy: Contribute to the corporate social media strategy, assisting with content calendars, curating posts, and engaging with audiences on platforms like LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and Indeed to promote a positive brand image.
• Media Management: Manage the Marketing internal asset drive, ensuring materials are well-organized, up to date and easily accessible for all team members.
• Internal Community Initiatives: Serve as the primary internal communications and marketing consultant for the Community Relations Board, DEI Committee, and Sustainability Committee. Collaborate with team leads to develop key messaging themes / templates, manage communication schedules, and support the advancement of related initiatives.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in copywriting, journalism, PR, or internal communications.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an eye for detail.
• Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, engaging copy.
• Experience in writing copy for brochures, flyers, blogs, internal newsletters or corporate communications.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with executives, employees, and stakeholders.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and experience developing innovative materials.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
• Familiarity with social media management tools (Sprout, Asana) and basic design tools is preferred (Canva, Adobe Suite).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in communication/marketing, with a focus on internal communications, B2B marketing, and global messaging.
