Job Summary

Urban has an exciting opportunity for a Market Area Leader in Northeastern PA to plan and lead business development activities in the pursuit of new projects. The Market Area Leader will manage and deliver transportation projects in Northeastern Pennsylvania. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to fully utilize their skills and talents in staff and client development.

The Market Area Leader is a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, and client satisfaction within their designated area. This role involves identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities, developing strategic business plans, and leading a high-performing team to achieve business objectives. The Market Area Leader will work closely with Business Unit Directors, Market Directors, and Business Development and Proposals to diversify and grow the client base, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client delight.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Client Engagement, Business Development and Sales

    • Be the main point of contact for transportation agencies and clients in Northeastern PA.
    • Lead business development activities to pursue new projects and establish new clients
    • Foster and grow current client relationships
    • Identify and manage opportunities through proposal development and award
    • Identify and establish strategic partnerships with Teaming partners
  • Project Management and Project Oversight

    • Manage highway design projects to meet client and project needs
    • Collaborate with other departments on multi-discipline projects including bridges, traffic, environmental, etc.
    • Resource planning to support meeting project schedules
    • Provide technical and quality oversight and direction on projects.
  • Professional Development

    • Engage in industry events and industry related professional organizations to stay current with industry trends and network with clients, teaming partners and peers.
    • Professional Representation: Represent the firm in community, technical and professional societies and endeavors, enhancing the firm's visibility and reputation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 15 years of experience with demonstrable design or engineering/ operations management experience and a proven track record of revenue growth and delivery
  • Project Management experience on highway projects of varying sizes
  • Experience with PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike, PA Counties and / or MPO's
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Proficient in MS Office and related design software

COMPENSATION

The approximate compensation range for this position is $170,000-$200,000 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
