?? What You'll Be Doing:
As a Litigation Secretary, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Document Preparation & Management: Drafting, formatting, and filing legal documents including correspondence, discovery documents, pleadings, and motions (both electronically and by mail)
Calendaring & Scheduling: Managing attorney calendars, scheduling hearings, depositions, and meetings, ensuring all deadlines are met
E-Filing & Filings: Handling e-filing in both Federal and State courts, following appropriate court rules and regulations
Case Management: Organizing and maintaining large case files, indexing documents, archiving, and assisting attorneys with trial prep
Team Collaboration: Working closely with a small, tight-knit team to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent client service
Client Interaction: Communicating with clients and third parties in a professional and timely manner
?? What We're Looking For:
3+ years of experience in legal secretarial support, specifically in litigation
Attention to Detail: Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (knowledge of other legal software like Westlaw or Thomson Reuters is a plus)
E-Filing Experience: Must be comfortable with e-filing in both Federal and State courts
Calendar Management: Experience in managing attorneys' schedules and following up on deadlines
Time Management Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Team Player: Able to work independently but also collaborate well within a small, dynamic team
On-Site Requirement: Must be willing to work in the office 5 days per week (no remote work option)
