Position Objective:
Syght is looking for a motivated and creative mechanical engineer to drive the design and implementation of the next generation of millimeter wave security systems. The successful candidate thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and produces innovative and demonstrably effective solutions. Designs must be based on a data-driven approach, leveraging simulation and iteration.
Responsibilities: • Perform full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, and implement) • Model and simulate dynamic responses to optimize designs and increase reliability • Implement and validate all designs in a fast paced, collaborative development environment • Identify, formulate and produce effective solutions to emerging problems • Evaluate final product's overall performance, reliability and safety • Prepare product reports and documentation
Requirements: • Proficient with FEA modeling tools (SolidWorks Simulation or Ansys) • Experience with 3D modeling/engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., SolidWorks) • Working experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) • Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc. • Highly organized in managing and executing multiple simultaneous projects and tasks • Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner • MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Ideal Experience:
• Prior experience in RF or mm wave mechanical designs
• Prior experience in kinematic designs for optical systems • Demonstrated experience in product design from "cradle to grave"
• Certifications or experience in design for manufacturing mechanical engineering techniques for high volume production processes
