About the Position

We are currently seeking an experienced Client Account Manager (CAM) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate possesses 10+ years of related experience and is eager to grow, collaborate, and innovate. The primary responsibility of the Air Force West Client Account Manager is to develop, implement, and manage the market in the Pacific - INDOPACOM AOR - in order to grow future business and services. The Client Account Manager is expected to work closely with the customer, understand their priorities and requirements, and build strong relationships. This role serves as the Business Development Lead for assigned Air Force program opportunities. The successful candidate will find, develop, and lead strategic pursuits, implementing and managing the major components of our Air Force business line to promote future work.

They must be familiar with the client's mission, strategies, initiatives, developing programs, and priorities. The CAM will deliver oral and written presentations, lead client interfaces on strategic projects, and resolve technical and performance-related issues. Developing and maintaining positive customer and client relationships to foster repeat business is essential.

Although this is primarily an account management role, the successful candidate must be capable of fulfilling Project Management responsibilities when needed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Determine resource and execution requirements to support clients' programs
  • Monitor efficient and effective management of programs
  • Advocate for and encourage "lessons learned" exchanges and technology transfer within business unit(s)
  • Monitor performance of program managers in executing client programs within the business unit(s)
  • Mentor and encourage individual team members to maintain team unity, harmony, and efficiency
  • Deliver oral and written presentations
  • Lead production of proposals, SOQs, and other marketing/promotion materials to build the practice
  • Lead negotiations of fee offers, scopes of work, and contracts, as needed
  • Lead program teams and facilitate communication and interaction between the organization and clients
  • Develop and maintain positive customer and client relationships to foster repeat business
  • Update and maintain knowledge related to training, degree, or job responsibilities
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, and 10+ years of related experience
  • PE license, PMP certification, MBA, or other advanced degree preferred
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, with a positive attitude, multi-tasking ability, and self-motivation to produce high-quality work
  • Ability to advocate for resources within a matrixed organization and lead a multidisciplinary team without direct supervisory authority
  • Demonstrated leadership experience preferred
  • Strong desire and ability to learn and grow professionally; must have the technical aptitude to understand Pond's services and technical expertise
  • Experience writing proposals, change orders, and reviewing contractual terms preferred
  • Experience meeting P&L targets preferred
  • Experience in executive communications, as the Client Manager will be expected to keep internal and external stakeholders updated on project status, health, and risks
  • Proven track record of meeting sales quotas preferred
  • Good understanding of project management techniques for scope, schedule, and budget management preferred
  • Travel is required approximately 30% of the time
  • Hybrid/remote work is possible, but will require additional travel to Pond offices to coordinate with internal teams
