Tax Seniors review and manage tax engagements for clients while mentoring Staff Accountants. Impactful Seniors act as technical advisors, often providing advice or research assistance to team members with complex tax questions and they supervise engagements. Our ideal candidate will have a clearly defined path for advancement to Manager, Senior Manager and/or Shareholder roles.
SCOPE OF WORK
Directs mid-sized tax consulting engagements simultaneously for regional clients (Business/Individual returns). Oversees ad hoc tax planning, research, and consulting projects and engagements
Set appointments with clients and assembles information to prepare or arrange for the preparation of federal, state and local returns
Maintains productive working relationships with client personnel and manage expectations of service (reports, schedules, etc.)
Determines fees to be charged for an engagement with approval from client partner
Provides mentorship opportunities to Staff Accountants and provides opportunities for learning during client engagements
Building relationships with key stakeholders at client organizations to continue to foster a long-term partnership between the department and external clients.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
Bachelor's Degree and Prefer an Active CPA (or exams passed and achievement within the year)
3+ years of progressive tax consulting experience in public accounting
