Position Overview Lead Systems Engineer for a technical development program that supports Entitlement Programs as well as IdAM/ICAM, Authentication, Authorization, Attributes, and Digital Policy Management. As a Lead Systems Engineer, you will support existing systems and provide guidance to build new technologies. You will have the opportunity to develop new policies and integrate them into an enterprise service. Your responsibilities will include participating in the deployment and administration of tools and integration testing. You will lead a team of database developers, systems engineers, software developers, cybersecurity engineers, and test engineers who develop custom user interfaces and REST services for managing digital policies. Additionally, you will assist in the installation, deployment, and maintenance of products.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of systems engineering projects with a focus on security and compliance.
Conduct security accreditation processes to ensure systems meet TS/SCI standards.
Analyze system interfaces and manage interface control documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cloud-based solutions using AWS and other cloud services.
Implement enterprise scale development practices to streamline system integration and deployment.
Participate in Agile methodologies and serve as Scrum Master for project teams.
Utilize XACTA for continuous monitoring and compliance tracking during the A&A process.
Mentor junior engineers and provide training on systems engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Experience as a Systems Engineer providing requirements and system interface analysis for enterprise-scale development projects
Leadership and project management experience
Experience with agile project management methodologies, including managing product backlogs
Ability to translate user requirements into agile sprint stories and acceptance criteria achievable within each sprint
Hands-on experience with the customer's A&A process to achieve system approval
Experience with security accreditation processes
Experience developing and maintaining interface control documents between components in an enterprise operational system
Proficiency in Cloud/Amazon Web Services
Strong communication and organizational skills to support development teams and stakeholders regarding the intent of requirements and user stories
Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 10-13 years of relevant experience
Desired Qualifications
Must have an active TS/SCI w/ Poly
Experience with the XACTA security accreditation tool
Experience with requirements management on programs interacting with and supporting multiple customers
Experience as a Scrum Master
