Job Summary



This position is responsible for filling orders which involves the pulling, cutting, and packaging of material.

Function in the Job



Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Job Function



- Processes material as required by the work order, pro job, or supervisor
- Observe machine operation to detect defects or machine malfunctions
- Packages all material in accordance with policies and procedures with special attention to any remarks on the work order
- Pulls material from racks, shelves, or floor to be used for a job
- Reviews stock available in the computer system to determine best yield
- Stocks material in the appropriate designated area
- Reports damaged material to the appropriate personnel
- Properly documents finished orders including but not limited to piece counts, material sizes and cutting errors
- Tags material with the correct identifying information
- Weighs material and records accurate weight
- Must abide by safety laws, policies, and guidelines, INCLUDING wearing PPE


- Handles repairs throughout building as instructed
- Instruct other workers in machine set-up and operation as required
- Enter finished production jobs into the computer system


Required Skills



- Basic math skills such as algebra and geometry
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
- Precision saw experience a plus
- Forklift driving experience a plus


Compensation Range



The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $25.90/Hr. - USD $28.49/Hr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
