Site: The Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Corporation
At Mass General Brigham, we know it takes a surprising range of talented professionals to advance our mission-from doctors, nurses, business people and tech experts, to dedicated researchers and systems analysts. As a not-for-profit organization, Mass General Brigham is committed to supporting patient care, research, teaching, and service to the community. We place great value on being a diverse, equitable and inclusive organization as we aim to reflect the diversity of the patients we serve.
At Mass General Brigham, we believe a diverse set of backgrounds and lived experiences makes us stronger by challenging our assumptions with new perspectives that can drive revolutionary discoveries in medical innovations in research and patient care. Therefore, we invite and welcome applicants from traditionally underrepresented groups in healthcare - people of color, people with disabilities, LGBTQ community, and/or gender expansive, first and second-generation immigrants, veterans, and people from different socioeconomic backgrounds - to apply.
The Development Coordinator, Major Gifts and Operations (DCMGO) will support both the Major Gifts and Operations teams as they carry out their fundraising and operations responsibilities in Spaulding Rehabilitation's Development Officer. To that end, this position will be a dual report to the Director of Major Gifts and Campaign and the Senior Director of Development Operations. For the Major Gifts team, the DCMGO will provide general administrative support, run donor/fundraising progress reports, coordinate special data projects, help organize individual major and planned giving cultivation and stewardship meetings and outreach, and prepare all grateful patient spreadsheets and fundraising plans. For the Operations Team, the DCMGO is responsible for coordinating projects related to business administration, invoice submission and expense tracking, revenue reporting, and operational support for the department. Serving as the coordinator of the central office needs, the DCMGO will handle donor inquiries and incoming mail to the office. This position is a great opportunity for an individual looking to gain experience in healthcare fundraising at one of the world's leading rehabilitation hospitals as part of a highly professional and collaborative team. This position is hybrid, requiring in-office presence two to three times per week and as requested by the department's leadership.
Now is an exciting time to join the Development Team at Spaulding Rehabilitation-which is home to Harvard Medical School's Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, has been ranked a "Top Three" Rehabilitation Hospital by U.S. News & World Report for seven years running, and is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families coping with the ongoing challenges of injury, illness, and disability. Following the successful conclusion of the Campaign for Spaulding Research Institute in 2022, which raised more than $94 million, the Development Team has been ramping up its activities to further bolster the network's research and clinical missions through endowment and other philanthropic gifts, all to sustain Spaulding's excellence for generations to come.
