We are seeking a Biosafety Program Management Support to support these efforts in the Department of Defense laboratory in Frederick, MD. ***Position contingent upon contract award.***

The Contractor Shall:
Supporting planning and execution of research transitions, equipment moves, biocontainment operations, and coordination with leadership from Transition, Biosafety, HFPA, and IO&T.
Provide direct oversight and management of BSL-2, BSL-3, and BSL-4 suites, ensuring regulatory compliance, lab functionality, and safe operations.
Assist with supervision and operational updates for suites including scheduling inspections, organizing meetings, and maintaining rosters.
Coordinate suite tours and facilitate the completion of ~50 Suite Safety Manuals, while also providing orientation and training for suite users and escorting personnel as needed.
Track and report on required biosafety and suite-access training for all containment personnel, maintaining training status records and summaries for leadership.
Assist in the creation, revision, and tracking of biosafety-related SOPs, forms, and risk assessments, while supporting biosafety compliance, mentorship, and training programs.
Support biosafety inspection programs, documentation, user compliance tracking, and reporting of observed risks, ensuring consistent implementation of the Biosafety Plan.
Manage PPE inventory and distribution across BSL-3 and BSL-4 suites, including ordering, stocking, and tracking usage at forward distribution points.
Assist with the analysis of biosafety near misses or mishaps, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to enhance biosafety training and operations.
Maintain active enrollment in the Biological Personnel Reliability Program (BPRP) and be prepared for surge support of up to 10% increased workload based on mission demands, with duties continuing at standard labor rates.
Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a scientific, biosafety, or laboratory-related field is required; advanced degree preferred.
Must have experience operating and overseeing BSL-2, BSL-3, and ideally BSL-4 laboratories, with strong knowledge of biocontainment policies and GLP standards.
Must maintain enrollment in the Biological Personnel Reliability Program (BPRP).
Must be flexible for surge workload if required.
