The Data Verification Clerk ensures the accuracy, integrity and full traceability of test reports for raw materials supplied by the mill and outside processors. Data verification clerk will be responsible for verifying the physical and chemical ranges indicated on the test reports against the specified minimum and maximum limits outlined in product specifications. It is required to have a keen attention to detail, a strong understanding of quality control principles, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Precision and diligence is required in confirming that all data submitted complies with the required specifications, to ensure the product's quality and ability to meet product specification.

Job Function
Test Report Verification: Review and analyze mill and processing test reports for various materials. Ensure the physical and chemical properties (e.g., tensile strength, hardness, chemical composition) are within the specified ranges.
Review customer quality/ purchase order clauses and terms and conditions and take exceptions as required.
Facilitate the documentation, communication and notification of exceptions taken to customer quality/purchase order clauses and terms and conditions.
Evaluate applications, records, and documents in order to gather information about eligibility or liability issues
Warn violators of infractions or penalties.
Prepare reports of activities, evaluations, recommendations, and decisions.
Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, orders, and test report to verify accuracy of shipments.
Prepare documents
Correspond with appropriate personnel to rectify problems, such as nonconformance to specifications.
Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, and work for conformance to specifications.
Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems, and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products, and recommend necessary corrective actions.
Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers
Maintain a calibration schedule for precision measurement tools
Facilitate the creation of purchase orders for calibration of precision measurements tools
Facilitate the maintenance of the approved supplier list
Analyze test data and make computations as necessary to determine test results.
Required Skills
0-5 years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
High School diploma/GED required.
Understanding of basic concepts and principles pertinent to raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective processing and distribution of material required.
Basic understanding of company product(s) and their uses required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Measurement skills, including taking, converting, and/or using measurements of length, width, height, and weight to perform basic math computations correctly required.
Microsoft Outlook, Excel proficiency;E-stel
Ability to make sound decisions based on a combination of factors including analysis, knowledge and experience, and judgment required.
Ability to initiate and maintain cooperative relationships with co-workers as well as internal/external customers required.
Compensation Range
The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $23.00/Hr. - USD $25.00/Hr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
