The Doe Run Company is currently seeking a Operations Technology & Network Infrastructure Manager to architect and support business critical operations technologies that gather data from devices, sensors and systems that can be used to improve decision making and drive business excellence through process improvement. This position will be responsible for identifying, implementing and managing projects to ensure operational technologies remain stable, secure and available to assist the business to minimize cost, reduce risk and maximize returns. In addition, this position is responsible for supervising other members of the Operations Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) team. This position is located at our Central Office in Viburnum, MO.

Education & Experience: 


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent degree/experience

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot License

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the field of Information Technology or Operations Technology

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with OSI PI and Process Control Systems

  • Minimum5 years’ experience leading projects

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience supervising others and managing cross-functional teams

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 


  • Advanced knowledge of networking concepts, server architecture and information security

  • Advanced analytical skills coupled with creative thinking capabilities

  • Advanced knowledge of PI Asset Framework, Vision, Datalink and associated system administration

  • Advanced knowledge of Rockwell Automation’s suite of products

  • Proficient understanding of PLC’s and other operations technologies

  • Proficient knowledge of Checkpoint firewalls

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server

  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to lead external and internal business partners seamlessly

  • Ability to manage complex IT/OT projects and lead multiple cross-functional teams

  • Expert in drone technologies and flight operations

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)

Job Responsibilities: 


  • Architect and lead long-term planning for the operational infrastructure needed for data gathering, storage and presentation for operations technology.

  • Lead projects to ensure operations technology are architected in a reliable, scalable and secure manner. Work with enterprise security tools to mitigate risk.

  • Serve as liaison between IT and OT groups as well as other business teams to identify possible uses for operations technology data.

  • Lead cross-functional project teams to capture data for trending and develop related data analyses. Document lessons learned and benefits realized.

  • Lead the businesses Drone Services program to support drone flight operations and associated data processing.

  • Lead the network and security department to ensure maximum system availability and solid infrastructure.

  • Maintain operations technology budget. Manage third-party vendor relationships. Facilitate procurement of IT/OT assets that meet IT and operational requirements.

  • Lead OT and IT employees.

  • Foster a culture to maintain EHS (environmental, health, and safety) compliance by allocating resources, establishing expectations, and holding teams accountable for adherence to EHS policies, procedures, and best practices; reviewing reports and ensuring corrective action for unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and participating in the continuous improvement in EHS performance through management systems.

  • Other projects as assigned.

Tools Utilized, Environmental Conditions, physical & Lifting Requirements: 


  • Regularly uses a computer/tablet, Occasionally uses a phone/radio.

  • Works in an office environment.

  • Regularly required to sit for long periods of time, clear vision at 20 or fewer inches.

  • Rarely required to lift up to 25 pounds.
