Relevant Technologies:

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Terraform, CI/CD, AI/ML, IAM, Big Query & Composer

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and administer GCP architecture and environments, including cloud-native applications and automation.


• Optimize GCP costs, create cloud architecture diagrams, and extend IBC on-prem policy and standards to cloud deployments.


• Implement solutions addressing cybersecurity issues, perform compliance validation and audits, and improve monitoring, configuration management, and reporting.


• Provide technical expertise in cloud technologies, support requests and troubleshooting issues involving other teams, partners, and vendors.


• Manage the implementation of IaC (Terraform) and DevOps procedures, including design and implementation of Terraform pipelines and scanning.


• Collaborate with the application development team to understand cloud infrastructure requirements and ensure high availability, performance, security, and maintainability of services.

 

Qualifications:

• 
  Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.


• 
  Professional Experience: At least five (5) years of experience in GCP and ten years of experience with infrastructure as code and cloud orchestration, including hands-on experience with Terraform and reusable module creation.


• 
  Technical Proficiency: Expertise in GCP services, Cloud Build, Cloud logging, Artifact Registry, and Google Cloud deployment.


• 
  Specialized Skills: Experience with Google BigQuery, Composer, GKE, Cloud SQL, AI/ML models, IAM solutions, and scripting languages.


• 
  CI/CD: Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines in a globally distributed environment using Git, Artifactory, CI, and registry tools.


• 
  Operational Knowledge: Solid understanding of cloud operations and engineering, including expertise in IAM, logging, encryption, security protocols, disaster recovery site design, automated infrastructure capabilities like backups and monitoring, and high availability strategies.


• 
  Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and collaborative work experience.

Preferred Certifications:

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect


• GCP Associate or Professional certification

Hybrid

Independence has implemented a “Hybrid” model which consists of Associates working in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and remotely 2 days a week (Monday & Friday). This role is designated as a role that fits into the “Hybrid” model. While associates may work remotely on our designated remote days, the work must be performed in the Tri-State Area of Delaware, New Jersey or Pennsylvania.
