Antea USA, Inc. (Antea®Group) is looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented Mid-level Environmental, Health and Safety Consultant in the greater San Francisco Bay Area or on the West Coast. This position is a full-time, remote role that is 5 days per week. This assignment is anticipated to last 12 months and could be extended.
This position will support our clients with the management and implementation of their Environmental, Health and Safety programs. We desire an experienced candidate with demonstrated skillsets in areas such as: Management Systems (ISO 45001, 14001, 50000), Written Program Development, Ergonomics, Training, and/or Industrial Hygiene, Process Safety Management, Fall Protection, Industrial Hygiene, and navigation of environmental regulations including, but not limited to stormwater, wastewater, hazardous waste, solid waste, air emissions, etc. Candidates with industry experience in the following industries are desired: Technology, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Bio-tech, Food and Beverage, Retail, and/or Manufacturing. Candidates with an Associate/Certified Safety Professional (ASP/CSP/GSP/CIH) certifications and or Professional Engineer (PE) are a strong plus. Additionally, candidates should possess strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities. While we seek a generalist, we are also open to considering health and safety specialists or environmental managers.
Candidates in the greater San Francisco Bay Area or west coast time zone are preferred. This role will be fully remote, or hybrid based on location.
Typical job assignments may include but are not limited to:
Coordinate activities to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to environmental, health and safety requirements.
Develop and implement risk assessment tools and develop applicable EHS programs and procedures.
Develop EHS training content and conduct training as needed (i.e. - New Employee Orientation, Hazard Communication).
Assist with incident management, including incident investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
Collaborate with EHS Team and stakeholders to conduct job hazard analyses (JHA), PPE evaluations, maintain SPCC plan, chemical inventory, and other hazard assessments.
Conducting environmental, health and safety assessments at client locations requires an understanding of OSHA/CAL OSHA and EPA regulations and how they are applied within organizations.
Maintain site and program level EHS records.
May be required to perform other EHS related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, Ergonomics, or related field.
4+ years of experience managing Environmental, Health and Safety projects
Must have a deep understanding of Federal OSHA and EPA, CALOSHA and CALEPA and local EHS regulations and their applicability. Further understanding of NFPA, DOT, and/or international environment, health & safety regulations is a plus.
Experience working in industry or consulting to Technology, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Bio-tech, Food and Beverage, Retail, and/or Manufacturing, or other general industry companies.
ASP/GSP/CSP/CIH certification is a plus. Willingness to attain relevant certification within an agreed-to time frame, if not yet certified.
Experience developing and implementing management systems such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001 or OSHA VPP is desired.
Able to work independently with attention to details and manage multiple clients and projects.
Must have a strong desire to talk with, influence, lead a team, and directly interface with multiple clients and stakeholders. Additionally, we must be able to take direction and coaching from both clients and team members.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The annual salary range for this position is $120,000 - $130,000. Compensation will vary depending on the applicant's job-related knowledge and skills, education, and work experience.
