Patient Sitter - Full-Time (PM & NOC Shifts)

PM & NOC Shifts | 90-Day Temporary Contract (Renewable)
Starting Pay: $16.58/hour
About the Opportunity:

Sequoia Transitional Care in Porterville, CA is looking for compassionate and reliable Patient Sitters to join our care team! This is a great opportunity for individuals who want to provide one-on-one support and safety monitoring to residents in a skilled nursing facility.

This position is a 90-day temporary contract with the possibility of renewal based on performance and facility needs.
Available Shifts:

• 
  PM Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM


• 
  NOC Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
  ( Full-Time Position )

• Provide constant observation and supervision to assigned residents to ensure safety


• Prevent falls, injuries, or wandering of at-risk residents


• Offer companionship and emotional support


• Assist with non-clinical needs like repositioning, comfort measures, and call light response


• Report any changes in resident condition to nursing staff immediately


• Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and respect at all times


• Follow infection control and facility safety protocols


• Maintain accurate observation documentation if required


• Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and visitors


• Adhere to facility policies and procedures

• High School Diploma or GED required


• Previous experience in healthcare or as a patient sitter preferred (but not required)


• Must have a compassionate and patient-centered attitude


• Strong observation and communication skills


• Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods


• Must pass background check and health screening


• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

• Starting pay: $16.58/hour
