We are seeking an experienced MDM (Master Data Management) Tech Lead with expertise in Semarchy xDM to drive the design, implementation, and optimization of our MDM solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of data governance, data integration, and best practices in MDM architecture. As the MDM Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading technical teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring seamless data management solutions that align with business objectives.
Responsibilities
MDM Implementation & Architecture:
Lead the design, development, and deployment of Semarchy xDM solutions.
Define MDM data models, workflows, match/merge rules, and data quality processes.
Ensure scalability, performance, and security of MDM implementations.
Technical Leadership & Strategy:
Act as the technical subject matter expert (SME) on Semarchy xDM.
Provide guidance and mentorship to developers and data engineers.
Define best practices and standards for data governance, stewardship, and integration.
Data Integration & Quality:
Work closely with ETL developers, data engineers, and business analysts to integrate MDM with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, Data Lakes, etc.).
Implement data profiling, cleansing, enrichment, and deduplication strategies.
Ensure high data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner with business teams, data stewards, and IT stakeholders to understand data requirements.
Translate business needs into technical MDM solutions.
Present technical findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
Troubleshooting & Optimization:
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize MDM workflows.
Implement enhancements and automation for operational efficiency.
Stay up to date with the latest Semarchy xDM updates and MDM trends.
Qualifications
Education & Certificates
Bachelor's Degree required
Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science or a related technical discipline, preferred
Graduate level degree, preferred
Semarchy xDM Certification (Preferred).
MDM or Data Governance certifications (a plus).
Professional Experience
Minimum of 10 years of overall relevant technical experience, required
Experience in Master Data management and Alternative Asset management, preferrred
5+ years of hands-on experience in MDM implementation and architecture.
2+ years of experience working with Semarchy xDM.
Strong expertise in data modeling, data quality, and governance frameworks.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Semarchy xDM, SQL, ETL tools, and APIs.
Experience integrating MDM with enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, BI tools).
Strong understanding of match/merge rules, data mastering, and workflow automation.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) is a needed
Soft Skills
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Leadership experience in guiding and mentoring teams.
Benefits/Compensation
The compensation range for this role is specific to New York City and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $200,000 to $220,000.
In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs. Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
