SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE:

Assist in gathering information and generating reports for production staff and maintaining Production Control files.  Assist and backup the Production Control Coordinator with running reports, gathering and input of data in order to complete A/E’s and weekly and monthly Forecasting, Prepare mill and production schedules.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain active job files for the Production Control Office


• Per ISO requirements, ID, collect, index, access, file, store and maintain controlled production documents


• Generate and update the following reports utilizing controlled documents listed in Quality Procedures:


• Daily Production and Usage


• Tonnage Reporting


• Cylinder Production Progress


• Maintain and publish weekly and monthly reports for Production processes


• Mark and Cylinder Reporting from drawings and daily’s


• Steel/materials tracking

• Inspection Schedules


• Receiving and Issuing of Coil (Track.net/SAP)


• Downtime Reporting for Production Departments


• Creating Advance Shipping Notices (ASN’s)


• Creating Part Numbers/ Production Orders


• MTR Heat Testing (Steel) -Track.net


• Providing Administrative support to Production Manager and Production Coordinator


• Assist Production Control Manager with end of year inventory reports.


• Enter receiving information, on products received by Northwest Pipe, into the SAP program


• Follows all safety and company policies / procedures and promotes a safe culture


• Regular, reliable, predictable attendance and performance of the essential functions

 

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Ability to perform difficult typing duties


• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co – workers and plant staff personnel


• Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access


• Knowledge of or ability to learn SAP


• Excellent verbal and written communications skills


• Familiarity with office equipment

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school education or equivalent to 1 year experience in an administrative position.

 

WORK HOURS / SHIFT

• Work hours vary or change based on operational needs


• Must be able to work overtime as required
