Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This is skilled work in the installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment in the City Sewer Plant, Sewer Lift Stations, and Equipment on the City’s Water Wells. The following list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Management may delegate other responsibilities.

Check sewer lift stations daily for proper operations.

Record pump run time and note irregularities.

Repair or Rebuild sewer pumps and equipment.

Trouble shoot lift station electrical panels. (240v/480v three phase power)

Keep sewer mains free of obstructions.

Operate City Sewer Vactor Truck and Sewer Jet Trailer to clear obstructions in Mains and 
Laterals and notify supervisor of deteriorated and broken piping.

Operate City’s push camera system as needed.

Record water usage on water wells as needed.

Must be in the Utilities On-Call rotation for emergency response and Call Outs. Also, other duties assigned by supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise other employees as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Training, Experience, and Qualifications Required:
A valid Florida Driver License, and able to acquire a class B Florida CDL within 12 months of hire.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Essential Requirements include the ability to read, write, and make minor calculations.
Work experience in pumping system equipment maintenance and repairs is preferred.
Electrical experience, particularly three phase, is preferred.
Able to work harmoniously with other employees and the public.
