What You’ll Get to Do
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Architectural Business Development Manager to join our team in the Washington, DC region. This role will report to the Director of Architectural Business Development and will focus on securing C.R. Laurence specifications, tracking projects in our CRM system, and promoting our brand and products within the architecture and construction sectors.


In this role, you will:




  • Leverage Industry Expertise: Utilize your deep understanding of the specification-driven bidding process within the design and construction industry to effectively position C.R. Laurence products as the preferred choice among architects and contractors.




  • Drive Business Growth: Develop and implement strategic business development initiatives to expand market share and increase sales within the Mid-Atlantic region, identifying new opportunities and fostering relationships with key stakeholders.




  • Build Strong Relationships: Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with architects, project managers, and other industry professionals, serving as a trusted advisor and resource for their design and construction needs.




  • Present with Confidence: Deliver compelling presentations to large groups, including architects and project teams, showcasing the benefits and applications of C.R. Laurence products while addressing any questions or concerns.




  • Employ Critical Thinking: Analyze project requirements and client needs to provide tailored, solution-based answers to complex questions, ensuring that our offerings align with industry standards and client expectations.




  • Manage Projects Effectively: Track and report on project progress in our CRM system, ensuring timely follow-ups and updates to maintain momentum and drive successful outcomes.




  • Exhibit Attention to Detail: Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and within deadlines.




  • Interpret Technical Documents: Read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications with precision, enabling you to provide informed recommendations and support to clients.




  • Navigate Product Portfolio: Familiarize yourself with our diverse product portfolio, enabling you to effectively communicate product features, benefits, and applications to clients and stakeholders.




  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, engineering, and customer service, to ensure a cohesive approach to business development and client engagement.




What We Are Looking For:



  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • Utilize your experience as a Project Manager, Sales, or Business Development Leader, with a minimum of 5 years in roles focused on the design community.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience of data to business interpretation and presenting analysis to business leaders

  • Proficiency in Office Suite products, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.

  • LEED certification, BIM Project Management experience, and SAP experience are a plus.


Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000
